Equally suited as a romantic retreat, guest accommodations, home office or library, this award winning Gypsy Wagon has been sold. The wagon attracted a large crowd at the Western Design Conference in Cody, Wyoming in September where Lynn Sedar was awarded the honor of "Best Artist-Historical Craftsmanship" for creating this wagon. From the beautiful, clear fir, tongue and groove siding, copper accents and patterned glass French doors on the exterior to the silk, brocade and feather bed details of the interior, every aspect of this wagon speaks of a rustic yet sensual luxury. Fully furnished with quality antiques (including a rare antique accordion), the wagon will sleep two and accommodate up to five for dinner. Interior dimensions are approximately 11' by 7' plus a small covered exterior porch. The height is approximately 9 and 1/2 feet. Fitted with romantic, antique fixtures on dimmer switches, the wagon is fully wired or can be used with kerosene lamps. A small antique hot plate is perfect morning coffee or evening hot chocolate. Other details include antique hardware, authentic square bolt frame construction, arched wooden roof trusses, iron flower boxes, book shelves, and numerous drawers for storage of office equipment, clothing, food etc. While completely functional for a variety of purposes, this is truly a unique and elegant work of art. |
